Leadership camp is a five-day camp arranged by INdus once a year. It might sound boring and all, but it's quite the opposite. Even though the camp was a bit tiring, it was still a lot of fun. It helped me to make new friends and grow closer to old friends. As I was a new student in my grade, this camp has helped me to understand and share my problems and overcome them with my class. The whole class was divided into groups - yellow and red. I was in the red team. I think this teams have helped us to share responsibility and rely on each other - when we were on an overnight camp. On the first day, we went on the challenge tower and as the name suggests it was very challenging and scary too! I successfully passed two levels out of three with my partner. It was scary in the beginning but with my partner's help, I passed them and at the same time had a lot of fun. It helped me to overcome my fear of heights and helped me to reply on another person for my safety.
Another day, we played paintball - even though I didn't hit anyone I think it was still fun as it helped to learn that planning is always important in m life. Without perfect planning, nothing can be done successfully. When we were on on overnight camp, the team shared responsibility by one navigating, some of us cooked and cut vegetables and some washed and shared the equipments' weight among us. This showed us that team-working and by staying together problems can be overcome, but only if we are willing to help each other out and stay strong for each other. On the last day of the camp, it was my birthday and I think that was the best day out of the whole trip as my friends arranged for a surprise party at a coffee shop! It made me realise that at the end of the day, your friends will always be there and they will be one of the reasons for your happiness. Overall, the camp was fun, like I said earlier and helped me to learn new things and skills and will not regret this trip!
